(Season Four, Episode Five)
I really think its time to jettison Rachel Lee Cook from the show. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of Cook, but I think her relationship with Shawn is taking up too much airtime, really taking away from the character dynamics that have been building on this show since the first episode. Too much time is being spent on a relationship that is obviously going nowhere, so its about damn time to move on.
Oh wait, that’s right, she only been in one episode this season, and has only been mentioned rarely otherwise. Abigail was introduced just to be a bump in the road for the eventual relationship that Shawn and Juliet will have, but I don’t think there’s a need. Brett asked, earlier this year, whether or not these two should be together, and the consensus was pretty much, hell yeah. Then I was OK with the slow burn then, but now, not so much. The show is based on how funny Shawn is with all of the straight men (and women) around him, not the sexual tension between these two. So, let Abigail stay in Mandyville to make way for these two crazy kids.
Other Stuff:
can’t believe you missed out on shawn’s nod to fringe midway through the episode.
