The end of July brings a huge list of TV on DVD releases to choose from, and there’s something for everyone. On the newer front you’ll find Pawn Stars, Stargate Universe, Stephen Fry in America and another Blu-ray release from Battlestar. Fans of crime-time classics may want to take a look at complete sets of 21 Jump Street and Hunter, or the Stephen J. Cannell collection which features a very nice sampler of his work. On the classic comedy side, it’s hard to argue with The Phil Silvers Show. Despite all those choices, for the pick of the week I turn my gaze to the north, for Instant Star. The-N (they go there) got me hooked on that one long ago, and it’s still a favorite.
