Warehouse 13 – Should H.G. Wells be trusted?

This new episode of 'Warehouse 13' introduced a possibly-reoccurring guest spot for Lindsay Wagner, but it also brought us another appearance of this season's nemesis ... or did it?

- Season 2, Episode 7 - "For The Team"

I admit I’m a bit stumped with this one. When the promos showed the return of H.G. Wells to Warehouse 13, I thought for sure things were going to get ugly. Well, they did get ugly — as usual — just not at the hands of H.G. Wells, at least seemingly so. In fact, Wells goes out of her way to keep the agents out of danger. Huh … I didn’t see that coming.

At every turn in this episode, I thought for sure the evil music would cue up as Wells made a telltale sneer behind Myka’s back, revealing her true intent to be, well, evil. But, nope. Instead, Wells expresses her desire to become an agent again for the warehouse, saving both Myka and Claudia from near-certain death to prove her intentions. No evil music. No nasty sneer.

So, is Wells being sincere? My thinking is no. I believe Wells positioned herself to be found by Myka during a time when Pete wasn’t there to dissuade her from believing Wells’ story. Myka too quickly believed that the locket was what was kept in the Escher vault. It made no sense that something so innocent would be kept there, unless it has other unseen properties. Now that Wells has Myka under he thumb, she’ll position herself to convince Pete that she’s a do-gooder, and then it’s only a matter of time before she’s back at the warehouse, four against Artie’s one.

What are the chances that Wells’ daughter, Christina, is someone who will make an appearance this season? I’d say the chances are pretty good, and it’s anyone’s guess as to how she’s able to still be alive after so many years.

Do you think Wells is being sincere, or do I sound like I’m on the right track?

Just started the episode. Please tell me I’m not the only one that notices that in the first 6 minutes Claudia goes from all 1 color hair, to a shot with some blue streaks, & then back to all 1 color.

How the hell do you mess that up?

HA! I did notice that, actually, but just figured it wasn’t permanent color since she’s got something different going on every episode.

Keith, I do think we saw HG take the locket, or some kind of jewelry, from the vault, or at least we saw the empty space or something, in a past episode. Maybe there’s more to it, but it could be a partial truth she told to Myka.

can’t read the second portion of your reply yet, fell asleep & didn’t finish the ep.

The thing about her hair though is it keeps changing back & forth between shots. Normal>Blue>Normal>Blue>Normal>…

I hope that it turns out HG Wells i’snt evil and executing some nefarious plan. That would just be waaay to cliche and conventional, and I really think the writers have done a good job of switching things up and not doing the same old stuff we’ve seen on dozens of shows a hundred times before.

With the set up we got earlier in the season I found it hard to believe while watching that HG Wells would turn out to be good. But really I have no idea what’s going to happen and in the end that’s a good thing.

Regarding Claudia’s hair, I did notice it change, but I thought that she changed it to normal when she found out she was going to be out in the field with Myka, trying to be all grown up and agent-like. And then she changed it back to coloured when Myka told her to be herself. I’d have to watch it again to be sure, but that’s what I thought when I was watching. I still don’t know how she’d do that while in the field but maybe she keeps coloured clip-ins handy just for emergencies. :)

You win for most logical answer to the hair mystery.

What I always notice about those two is how much they have in common. I’m sorta expecting a future MacPherson-Artie type relationship between them.

As for the locket. I could have sworn that Mrs. Fredrick said that the only thing missing was a compact…
