Get it? Six ways ... sixth season.... It's probably not even possible for Sam and Dean to disappoint us this Friday night, but there's nothing wrong with getting a little psyched up!
The five seasons of Kripke’s stellar series have been some of the finest hours on television. For me, just hearing the word “Supernatural” is enough to get my blood pumping.We left off with Sam peering into the figurative and literal windows of Dean’s normal life with Lisa and her son, without knowing the timeline. Who was in hell longer — Sam or Dean?
I’m a relatively down-to-earth gal and all I need is the promise of an amazing premiere this Thursday Friday night (still pretending The CW hasn’t relegated one of my favorite shows to the death slot), but if you need a little more stimulation to get you ready, try these:
Pretend that Eric Kripke is still the show runner
I’m not saying that Sera Gamble will disappoint us, but Kripke’s vision for the first five seasons was so close to perfection, I’m still operating on that.

You know, Debbie, it honestly does my heart good to remember that just a couple short years ago, you were a “Supernatural virgin.” How things change, huh? Now you’re a full-fledged, hot-blooded superfan just like the rest of us!!! Which, if it’s not totally clear, I find to be all kinds of awesome.
I’m actually not too worried about the Friday night timeslot. It certainly has that ‘death slot’ moniker for a reason, but if there was any combination that I thought could overcome it, it would be Smallville and Supernatural. Both have very loyal fanbases that have already proven they’ll follow the show. And the bonus is that the numbers for the network during the rest of the week aren’t exactly great, so the bar is lowered.
I agree. any show that has a good following will do fine. I forgot that the CW is bringing back the Supernatural/Smallville combo, so they should be golden.
Besides, Friday nights work/worked for BSG & Eureka
It’s the pairing with Smallville that has me worried. It’s Smallville’s last season, and if Sera Gamble doesn’t completely rock the house, it could very likely be Supernatural’s last season as well. I’m hoping that a lot of fans don’t write the show off b/c Kripke’s no longer show runner.
I’m hoping it’s the last season of both. they were paired together for a long time & i honestly think Supernatural should have ended after Kripke’s 5 year plan.
I’m just gonna rewatch the finale for a refresher. there’s companion books… really? o.O
