Did you see how tired the entire clan was at the beginning of this episode? That’s how it usually is when Vince and Bonnie are rounding out a scene in Bleep My Dad Says.
But, this time around, not only did they get a few good lines in, the culmination of the episode left Vince kissing one of Bobbie’s former flames to quash rumors of his smooching abilities.
It was the first time we’ve gotten any real laughs out of this pair … and it was a relief to see for a change. I was on the brink of giving up all hope with these two if something didn’t finally happen with them, so I’m glad the writers gave us something to sink our teeth into.
And, in the strangest story line of the series thus far, Ed (William Shatner) eulogized about a dead ‘friend’ he had a gay relationship with.
Yes. You read right.
Ed … curmudgeonly Ed … Bleep My Dad Says Ed: A gay lover. (Not really. That just couldn’t happen on this show. Not with Ed, anyway.)
Now … nothing could be stranger from the truth if you’ve been following this show for the last few weeks. But, you know what? In a weird sort of way, it worked. It was rather plodding and hit and miss … but it worked.
And if that weren’t enough, we got news CBS ordered a full season of Bleep My Dad Says as well as other fledgling freshman shows at the network.
Apparently, following The Big Bang Theory ain’t treating BMDS too shabbily. Good going, guys.
