Obviously FOX was hoping press would talk publicly and write about the Super Bowl episode by sending these shirts out. So, yeah, call me a sucker. FOX is well known (to press, at least) for their elaborate and usually awesome press kits. I usually wouldn’t fall all over myself to tell you all what you likely already know, but I just wanted to share this one with you.
When I first opened the package from FOX, I thought the t-shirt was kind of cool — I’m a t-shirt junkie. Then I turned the shirt around and it suddenly turned from cool to awesome:
That’s my last name! And my favorite number! How freakin’ cool is that? Now I can throw Slushies on kids! There is one major downside to this shirt, though: I share my home with Deb, who shares my last name and my home. Hey, I know! I can be the cool football player who gives up his jersey to his sweetheart, so she can walk around letting others know she’s MINE! Role play time! … Sorry, TMI?
. . . . .
Very nice!
Being in marketing, it’s pretty spiffy to see someone go above and beyond into the realm of the unexpected for the benefit of the “receivee” …
You’re a gentleman to offer your football shirt to your “best girl” instead of keeping it. Personally, if I were running FOX I would have sent out a Cheerios outfit for the missus.
Who knows? Maybe FOX is listening.
…yes Keith, TMI. Far too much TMI.
TMI for you?!? That’s my sister!
