Over the last few weeks, there has been speculation about that Violet overdosed and died when she took the pills from Leah, even though it appeared that Tate saved her. I believe that Violet is most likely dead or if not dead, she is no longer the same person who first arrived in California. Instead, when she died and was revived by Tate, the house retained a hold over her. In either case, here are clues from the last few episodes.
Clues that she is dead
- The last time we saw her leave the house was in “Open House.” She went to the school to find out if Tate was responsible for the massacre or not. It was after this that she was upset and took the pills.
- Violet was able to see the ghosts before she took the pills, but it wasn’t until after this that Tate said she was now “evolved” and could make the ghosts go away.
- On the beach, Tate didn’t want to be intimate with Violet. After the pill incident, Tate and Violet had sex. What changed? Also, Violet said that it didn’t hurt. If she is alive, the first time would have been painful, at least a little.
- Violet hasn’t been in school for two weeks. And, in the last episode, didn’t leave her room.
- When Vivien and Violet try to leave, there are two ghosts in the back seat of their car to scare them back into the house. If dead, Violet can’t leave the property.
Other items to consider
- One intriguing clue that could go either way is that her parents call her out at dinner about her attitude. She says that it’s not like she’s going to kill herself. Hmm … what if she is already dead. Tate doesn’t know he is dead. So, is it possible that she doesn’t know she’s dead either?
- We have seen Violet sleep. Do ghosts sleep? Or, it is just out of habit, especially if she doesn’t know she is dead.
- If she died, where is her body? Did Larry dispose of it like he did with Travis’s body? Or, was she revived?
Based on these items, do you think Violet is alive? dead? revived in an unknown state?
In the preview for this week’s episode, a guy says “You have something dead in your wall.” At first I thought it was going to be Violet. Then I decided it couldn’t be Violet; that would be too obvious. So, I guessed it was the dog. Whatever happened to the dog? I don’t think we’ve seen it since we saw it wasn’t microwaved. But, at the end of the preview clip, the guy is pretty freaked out. I don’t think a dog would do that. So, I don’t have a guess. Do you think it will be Violet in the wall or someone/thing else?

Oh, she is so dead. And if not, who cares. If she ever finds out Tate raped her Mother, dead or alive, that should end her thing with Tate…. But, you never know with teens. sheesh….. AHS is great because nothing really happens as you think it will. I mean, how long has the family been in the house and only now are the adults finally figuring out the place may be haunted. This show is a guilty pleasure where you leave your brain in the bathroom, hang on as the silly yet strange stuff happens. I love the show but it would never pass as great TV with how the story and characters are but damn, as a fun, weird-ass show, nothing beats it…….
Violet is dead, there are so many hints pointing out that she did not survive the overdose, I believe that she woke up in the shower with Tate that what we saw was her “rebirth”.
I never really thought about her being dead but now I am starting to get the impression that she is dead. I love her and Tate together, and I dont want that to change. Hopefully the truth wont come out. I also think Hayden is really annoying me lately. She keeps getting the way of everything! I do love the how this show is going though! It is getting very interesting! I love the chemistry between Tate and Violet, I love the secrecy of the maid’s appearance (which until now the Ben didnt catch on), and other things. Another character I can’t stand no matter what, is Vivien, recently anyway. She brings her family to the murder house to get away from her life before. And she ends up kicking him out anyway, I dont think that’s fair. Plus she techniquically cheated as well. She was being moody because of her pregnancy and that is why she kicked him out all of a sudden. I still like the idea of her being in the mental hospital. I like her there away from the actual awesomeness. Until the babies are born at least! Vivien should have known though that it wasnt her husband that one time, because she complains now that she was raped! I mean really? It just doesnt make sense! Oh well….I got off topic….I really do think that Violet has a HUGE chance of being dead! Even though it wouldnt matter to me, since Tate and Violet will be together too! They should be together for ever! All of my shows I watch end up with their main couples keep breaking up! They shouldn’t….HOPE AMERICAN HORROR STORY STAYS THE BEST!!!!
I have a question re: Tate and Violet, going back to the Halloween episode.
If none of the ghosts can leave the house or the house’s property, then how was Tate able to take Violet to the beach, where they were accosted by the ghosts of the kids he shot?

On Halloween, ghosts can wander freely. That’s why Moira was able to go see her mother, the killed kids could attack Tate at the beach, and he was able to leave the house.

This totally took me off guard when we saw violets corpse. I even began questioning whether tate was trying to trick violet into believing she was dead, but as you say, it’s now pretty obvious she is… :P
