TV on DVD – Futurama, Glee, and One Tree Hill

This week's releases include 'Futurama', 'Glee', 'One Tree Hill', '60 Minutes', 'The Franchise', 'NY Ink', 'Triunfo Del Amor', 'Rosario + Vampire', 'Heaven's Lost Property', 'WWE', 'Donna Reed', and 'Prehistoric'.

You might think that there would be a flurry of releases as we race toward Christmas. You’d be wrong. This final installment before the big day doesn’t bring a lot of excitement, but there are a few gems for last minute shoppers. The trio of new network sets – Futurama, Glee, One Tree Hill – are sure to be welcome in a wide range of stockings.

There are also a couple of animated Japanese sets to check out. Heaven’s Lost Property gains points for a description at Amazon that made me laugh. “Tomoki’s life was normal until a wish-granting angelic android named Ikaros fell from the sky and started calling him master! Of course, thanks to his raging teenage hormones, most of Tomoki’s wishes have something to do with panties.” Haven’t we all been there?

For my pick of the week, I’m also going foreign, but with less animated panties, and choosing Triunfo Del Amor. I know nothing about the show, and the Amazon page offers no help at all. Still, who doesn’t love a Spanish language novella? And at $17 it is the perfect gift for the person on your list that has everything. Because they probably don’t have that.
