A couple weeks ago we did a poll on favorite British TV shows. Sherlock was the overwhelming winner, proving once again that occasionally the majority can get it completely wrong. The actual answer was Top Gear. Or course, I kid, but Top Gear really is a fantastic bit of television. And season 17 (a bargain at $22 on Blu-ray) leads off this week’s releases, and is my pick of the week. I’m also very curious about another entry from our friends across the pond, The Indian Doctor. It looks like an interesting fish-out-of-water story, and it also stars Sanjeev Bhaskar. You may know him from his earlier work on The Kumars at No. 42.
