Bio: My time away from the TV is spent in an IT cave doing things that might seem interesting on the surface, but would likely bore you in detail. Along with those lofty pursuits, I'm a huge fan of Mr. Neal Stephenson, have a strange love for Canadian things, and am currently hammering out the tenets for a boob-based-religion. If you need to find me, try looking in one of Seattle's many theatres. This one is my current favorite.

TV on DVD – Mad Men, In Plain Sight, Treme

A big week of releases includes ‘Mad Men’, ‘In Plain Sight’, ‘Treme’, ‘Big Time Rush’, ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’, ‘Vega$’, ‘Xena’, ‘Hercules’, ‘Emergency!’, ‘Bullwinkle’, ‘Lucy’, ‘Dennis The Menace’, ‘Peanuts’, and ‘Gangland’.

Ratings Clack – Bones is moving to Friday

The big news this week was a 22 episode renewal for ‘Fringe’. If you follow the ratings, that probably comes as a bit of a shock. What could FOX have up its sleeve? My best guess, they are going to finally actually try on Friday, and move ‘Bones’ to join ‘Fringe’.

TV on DVD – The Venture Bros and Scarecrow & Mrs King

Another short one this week, including ‘The Venture Bros.’, ‘Scarecrow & Mrs. King’, ‘Piece of Cake’, ‘Hawkeye’, ‘The Ambassador’, ‘Bill Cosby’, and ‘Marcus Welby, M.D.’. That, and another excuse for me to bring up my obsession with a certain Canadian.

Ratings Clack – Daylight savings is never good for ratings

As has become the norm, when the weather gets nice and the clocks spring forward, television ratings take a hit. We saw it again this week as ‘Idol’ hit a surprising low, and the newly renewed NBC comedies took a ratings boot to the crotch.

TV on DVD – Batman, Coach, and Red Green

Another slow week of releases includes ‘Batman the Brave and the Bold’, ‘Coach’, ‘Red Green’, ‘The Virginian’, ‘Snoop Sisters’, ‘Laramie’, and ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’. And the pick of the week includes the creepy chick with the syringe.

Ratings Clack – Spring premieres and the return of Event and SGU

As we turn the clocks forward, the spring premieres are getting fired up on the networks, including ‘Secret Millionaire’, ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, and the return of ‘The Event’. On cable, ‘Breakout Kings’ debuted, and ‘Stargate Universe’ is back.

Ratings Clack – Charlie Sheen wins

You couldn’t go anywhere last week without hearing about Charlie Sheen. TV, twitter, facebook… Not even our local comic convention was Sheen-free. When will it end? No time soon, if the ratings are to be believed.
