The talk of the episode was, of course, James Durbin. Loads of sob story, powerful no-nonsense singing voice. Too bad he’ll have to put up with yet another stigma outside the ones he already bears.
I’m usually proud to call Los Angeles my home, but – after this episode of ‘Idol’ – my head was hung in shame.
Boy, did the ‘Idol’ hype machine kick things into high gear this week, complete with lots discussions and rumors and promises all would be explained. But, in the end, it was just … hype.
An abbreviated ‘Idol’ hour reveals a JLo with the beginnings of a short fuse when it comes to some of the contestants. Mayhap Simon left a bit of his presence for her to wrap around herself.
Two hour’s worth of ‘Idol’ auditions can sometimes be tiresome and trying. But the land of Danny Gokey put on a good show and skipped along rather well, leaving viewers ready for more.
There’s so much going on this season on ‘Idol’, you can’t afford to miss out. I’m willing to bet even the nay-sayers will be tuning in, hoping for some crash-and-burn drama.
