Season two of Community looks amazing

Betty White appears on the new season of 'Community.' Could I be any more excited about this show's return?

As evidenced by my rapturous coverage of Community‘s freshman season, it’s pretty clear that I love the show. So obviously, I’m looking forward to season two’s premiere. Even better, Betty White is going to be on this season! This clip has a recap of season one and a behind-the-scenes look at season two, including cast interviews and Betty White herself.

Here are some important things to note about this video:

  • Betty White’s “I was acting here,” line is hilarious.
  • “Freshman laffer” has to be the most cringe-inducing phrase of all time. My teeth are still itching.
  • They really need to find a quick way to get out of this whole “Jeff and Annie” thing quickly, because it’s super-creepy.
  • I need more Troy and Abed tags RIGHT. NOW.
  • Community truly got robbed at the Emmys. The paintball episode and the Goodfellas episode were both brilliant.
  • Donald Glover is hot.

What are you most looking forward to this season?

Agreed Community was robbed. I’m hoping the Jeff and Annie thing is like (sorry going old school) Mr. Grant and Mary Richards – actually try to date then realize whatever attraction they had for each other was just a fleeting thing. I see them breaking away from that kiss and then laughing or saying “nah”…cut to first day of school nothing said – back to hijinks.

HOW did this show miss getting Emmy love? It deserves a nod next year based on this season’s premiere alone, which reeks of awesome! Modern Family is really funny, but Community is amazeballs!
