There are few things in this world more terrifying than Nick Offerman sans his Ron Swanson mustache but with his Ron Swanson haircut. I would have preferred an entire season of the cornrow/kimono/half mustache look that he sported with Tammy 2 rather than one episode of his terrifying neutered mustache-less polo shirt ensemble. At least with Tammy 2, he was so crazed by lust that his actions made sense in a twisted, disturbing way; but I’m of the same opinion as Leslie when it comes to Ron with Tammy 1: it’s just wrong.
While I wasn’t surprised to see a showdown between Leslie, Ron and two Tammys, I have to say, I wasn’t expecting it to be Tammy 1 and Ron’s mother. I know we’ve heard about her before, but she wasn’t a character I ever thought we’d get introduced to. Now that we’ve met her, Ron certainly makes a lot more sense; it’s clear the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
The moonshine scene was my favorite of the episode because it brought back drunk Leslie. There’s nothing I love more than drunk Parks and Rec characters, and if we couldn’t get another Leslie/Anne fight, Leslie trashing her own office was good enough. Also, Leslie and I are kind of the same person when we’re drunk – except I have a tendency to get in much more intense conversations. Because everything Is. So. Important!
Ron also dispatched Tammy 1 pretty quickly, but I hope to see her again, much in the way that Tammy 2 just randomly pops up in episodes now. I want to learn more about their past: Sunday school teacher, midwife, IRS agent, literal gold digger; Tammy 1 has a lot of stuff going on and it all sounds fascinating.
Also fascinating is Entertainment 720. I hope those crazy kids can make it, because that is exactly the kind of business Pawnee needs. Actually, since they don’t seem to sell deep-fried donuts, the citizens of Pawnee have basically no use for it, but I love it so. I love their stupid airplane hangar and their stable of NBA players. I love Jean-Ralphio and I love Ben trying to be friends with Tom.
My only complaint for this episode is that we didn’t get to see Ben and Leslie together. I want to know what their relationship is going to be like now that they can’t date and Leslie is running for office, but I suspect that the writers have a lot planned for them and they want to spread it out over the course of the season. Plus, it’s nice for Ben to develop into his own character, instead of just being a love interest.
I was also always a fan of Anne and Chris, and their goofy diabetes PSA (which has to exist in its entirety somewhere, right?) looks like it may bring them back together. Sure, Anne spent most of the episode wondering how she could have ever dated him, but at the end she remembered. I just hope she keeps on remembering.

I absolutely loved this episode. Trust this show to cause belly laughs, like no other show! My favorite bit was Drunk Leslie too. She never ceases to amuse me.
If any of you are interested, I’ve come up with a rather elongated theory as to why Andy and April are the most important relationship in the show, because they mirror all the other primary relationships.
