- FOX kicks off their latest reality show with a two-part two-hour premiere of Secret Millionaire, in which real life millionaires enmesh themselves in ordinary lives for awhile before ultimately gifting at least $100,000 of their own cash to one deserving new friend.
- Time Warp takes a look at sharpshooters and barefooters on Discovery while NBC spends an hour offering an early Christmas in Rockefeller Center 2008.
- While Chuck must deal with the consequences of her actions, Ned and Olive have a comfort food cook-off on a new Pushing Daisies on ABC.

- BBC America takes an hour to answer the question Should I Smoke Dope? I can answer it in one word: no. Dope.
- Sundance premieres a new talk/music show with Spectacle: Elvis Costello With…, but I’m not going to tell you who the star is. I will tell you that the premiere features Elton John.
- Showtime is going back Inside the NFL, while The CW is all new with Stylista, with the contestants prepping a hotel room for model Maggie Reiser. Or you could just watch Ghost Hunters on Sci Fi and see if you can see the strings.
- With the Grammys coming up February 8, 2009 and ratings sure to be going down, or at least that’s the trend, CBS is hoping that maybe by making some time for the nominated music we’ll all be a little more excited. That’s the brainchild behind tonight’s one-hour The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! – Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night. Aren’t you excited already?
- To avoid stereotypes, tonight’s episode involving the murder of a sheriff’s deputy on an Indian Reservation, there’s nothing to do with casinos. Oh wait, that’s exactly what tonight’s Life is about on NBC.
- While Addison fights to save the lives of a pregnant coma patient and her unborn child on ABC’s Private Practice, there’s some football going on on Friday Night Lights. Nationally televised football that is, as the playoff game is pegged the “high school game of the week.” Hey, these episodes are coming to regular network TV starting in January. Aren’t you excited?

- It’s back! The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is really about sexy chicks and boobs. I mean who watches this to see the new fashions in lingerie? Do women buy this to get an idea of what they might want? Men definitely aren’t watching to know what to shop for … don’t let ‘em fool you ladies. It’s not for you they’re watching.
- Boxing’s The Contender is back for a fourth season, this time premiering on the Versus network. Sci Fi’s Estate of Panic, Discovery’s Prototype This examining automated pizza delivery, Bravo’s Top Chef, History’s UFO Hunters, A&E’s Parking Wars, Spike’s The Ultimate Fighter, and G4’s Human Wrecking Balls at the half hour are all new as well.
- Also at the half hour is a new installment of David Alan Grier’s Chocolate News. Also funny, to somebody because it’s going to be on the air for another 300 years, is the back-to-back 3rd season premiere of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne on TBS.
- Guest star Tom Clancy plays a beloved sheriff who comes under suspicion for murder on NBC’s Law & Order. Over on ABC, it’s Karen and Simon’s wedding day and Tripp couldn’t be less happy on ABC’s Dirty Sexy Money.
