Tonight on the tube: The Amazing Race ends & Robot Chicken returns

  • Saudi officials aren’t worried that we’re going to spend less on their oil. That’s what they’re telling CBS’s 60 Minutes. ABC offers a special look behind the scenes with Ty Pennington on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
  • NBC says It’s Football Night in America, in case you weren’t sure. Meanwhile, the new CW Sunday continues with the second installment of Jericho.
  • The first two of three King of the Hill repeats kicks off the night. These are for the West Coast as the rest of us will be dealing with the NFL. TLC is offering up a look at Superhuman Strength.

8:00p/7:00 Central

  • It’s the season finale of The Amazing Race on CBS. Tune in to see if the dumb frat boys can beat the odds and win the whole thing! ABC sticks with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, offering up the traditional new home to a needy family, this time a hard working school teacher and her mechanic husband crippled with arthritis.
  • At 8:15p/7:15 Central NBC shifts to Sunday Night Football with the Redskins (7-5) taking on the Ravens (8-4). In College Football, FOX has the BCS Selection Show, where you can learn the Bowl matchups. After that, stick around for The Simpsons when Mr. Burns buys a pro basketball team and moves it to Springfield.
  • BBC America explores obesity in the young with their special Too Fat to Toddle. On Style, Ruby mulls over the difficulty of travel as an obese person when she heads for LA. It’s tall people explored on TLC’s Life as a Giant.
  • The History Channel is taking a two-hour look back at ’70s Fever with archived footage, music and still shots. To counter, National Geographic is taking two hours of their own, but they’re looking way beyond the ’70s and in fact taking us on a Journey to the Edge of the Universe, using the world’s largest telescope and CGI.
  • Donatello comes to Tommy for help in passing a new budget on Showtime’s Brotherhood. Meanwhile, Noah Wyle’s back as Flynn Carsen with Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin in The Librarian 3: Curse of the Judas Chalice. The CW is going with the feature film The Cutting Edge.

9:00p/8:00 Central

  • Bree tries to express to Andrew that she accepts who he is on ABC’s Desperate Housewives. Patricia Heaton and Treat Williams star in the true story of a man with Tourette’s who fights to become a teacher to raise tolerance in the CBS telefilm Front of the Class.
  • FOX is in repeats with Family Guy‘s season premiere where Brian and Cleveland competed over the same woman. Then, Stan digs for the gold he’s sure Oliver North buried beneath their house in American Dad.
  • It’s critters Untamed & Uncut in this show, tonight spotlighting a lion attack at an awards show, a bullfighting incident and a dog trapped in a well, among others.
  • The first two parts of HBO’s ambitious House of Saddam kick off tonight, chronicling his rise to power in ’79 through the first Iraq war in ’90. On Showtime’s Dexter, he must rid himself somehow of his best man Miguel even as he preps for his wedding day.
  • The final four contestants create original t-shirts on VH1’s Rock of Love Girls: Charm School, while on WE’s Rich Bride, Poor Bride, a new bride is spending beyond her means.

10:00p/9:00 Central

  • Jal must keep her pregnancy a secret on BBC America’s Skins. ABC’s a little behind as tonight is the Walker family Thanksgiving disaster-I-mean-get-together on Brothers & Sisters.
  • An officer has to leave work to care for a sick kid on Biography’s Female Forces, while the team on Discovery’s Storm Chasers get closer to a tornado then ever before on the season finale. National Geographic’s Naked Science takes a hard look at black holes.
  • Over on WE, it’s more wedding shenanigans, this time following two planners on Wedding Central. E! has Hef’s choice for the magazine’s 55th anniversary Playmate on The Girls Next Door, followed by Snoop helping Cori’s sleepover on Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.
  • Fresh out of rehab and Charlie informs Marcy that he wants a divorce on Showtime’s Californication. Timothy Hutton stars in TNT’s latest dramatic venture as the leader of a team of high-tech Robin Hoods on the series premiere of Leverage.

11:00p/10:00 Central

  • At 11:30p/10:30 Central, it’s the 4th season premiere of Robot Chicken on Cartoon Network, followed by a new Superjail! On HBO’s Summer Heights High, Ja’mie makes a pitch for a class formal.
