NBC - The most new programming for the week came from NBC. And given the lack of competition, it wasn’t a bad week overall. Things got off to the usual great start courtesy of Sunday Night Football (24.17m/8.6). The Sing Off (8.61m/2.7) followed on Monday, and was down, but still solid. The same couldn’t be said for the oddly scheduled sneak-preview of Perfect Couples (3.56m/1.3). I can’t imagine that did anything good for the future prospects of the show. Although, I will add that Christine Woods is very good in it. The rest of the week consisted of a typical Minute To Win It (7.04m/2.2) performance, and a burn-off of another Undercovers (4.21m/1.1).
FOX – Second with new programming hours, FOX filled most of the schedule with Million Dollar Money Drop.
Nothing spectacular in those numbers, but it’s better than running repeats. Even the heavy hitters like Glee (4.07m/1.4) don’t repeat very well on FOX. The only other new entry was Human Target (5.75m/1.4).
CBS - The entirety of the CBS week came down to the Survivor finale (13.58m/4.1) and reunion (11.19m/3.4).
ABC - The only thing worse than only bringing two hours of new programming to the table is having those two hours be Skating With The Stars (3.37m/.5 – 3.41m/.8).

I actually liked the ‘Perfect Couples’ preview. It seemed like the American ‘Coupling’ without NBC’s 2003 crappiness (or Rena Sofer) -

I thought it was pretty hit and miss. Christine Woods and Mary Elizabeth Ellis were both funny, but I wasn’t impressed by any of the male characters. The scene where the three of them are together on the screen was the low point, where it seemed that the show just ground to a halt. And while I’ve long been a fan of Olivia Munn on G4, Leigh didn’t capture any of that.
Also, what’s wrong with Rena Sofer?
I agree, I enjoyed Christine Woods and Mary Ellis. I actually liked the guys as well, but I could see where you’d view their personality as bland.
On Rena Sofer, while she’s really pretty, I’ve never thought she had any discernible acting talent. I actually feel the same way about Olivia Munn. I didn’t really hear about her until she hosted the Bing promo. In the commercials she struck me as the hot girl with a guy’s sense of humor, as opposed to a comedian that happens to be hot. I actually felt the same way watching her in the show. At the same time, I liked the writing so minor things (i.e. actresses that I didn’t gel with) didn’t really bother me.
You might recognize Ellis as the waitress from Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Any news on how Doctor Who did on Christmas day.

It did very well in the UK with 10.3 million viewers, making it the second most watched program on Christmas day. That’s right on pace with last year’s ‘The End Of Time Part 1′. I haven’t seen any numbers for the US broadcast.
I saw the UK numbers, always does great over here in Christmas day, just wondered how it had done in the US.
I found I enjoyed even David Walton’s last NBC project, 100 Questions, more than Perfect Couples.
