TV SHOWS COLUMNS FEATURES CHATS QUESTIONS

Who do YOU want to win a Golden Globe?

The Hollywood Foreign Press has picked the Golden Globe nominees and will announce their winners on Sunday, but first, you have the chance to pick your favorites.

I’m sure you wouldn’t have picked some of the Golden Globe nominees, but from the choices you have, pick who you want to win. This isn’t a contest to see if you pick correctly or not, rather it is a chance to vote for the actors and shows that you love.

We will announce the CliqueClack winners during our Golden Globes LiveClack on Sunday night. If you watch the show, be sure to stop by and chat with us.

Wow – I picked the favorite in every category except the BBT related ones. Just ain’t my thang.

Huh. I watch only one of the shows mentioned in the top three categories. No bueno.

I don’t watch most of the shows nominated either. I watch at least one of the nominees for all categories except Actor in a Drama. Don’t watch any of those shows. So, I didn’t vote for that category.

There is such a disconnect between what people watch and who is nominated. And, that is probably even a larger disconnect w/ general viewing population over those that write and read posts at CliqueClack.

But generally the disconnect is much smaller when you look at TV vs. Movie award shows.

And in general, it is also less so for the Golden Globes.

The only show in the top three categories that I’d like to catch up on at some point is the Good Wife (Though, my math was wrong. The Closer and Covert Affairs are both in my watch list. I still haven’t finished S1 of The Walking Dead, so I don’t take credit for that).

I don’t know… I would argue about the disconnect. I still know a lot of people who have never even heard of The Hurt Locker, let alone seen it, and still others who have only heard of it because of the Oscar.

Then again, I’m on the other side, there’s only one show nominated for best drama that’s not on my must see list.

Maybe I’m misspeaking my point, because that’s exactly what I meant. “Oscar Movies” are probably less seen by the general public than “Emmy TV Shows.”
