Transformers: Prime, Season One on Blu-ray – CliqueClack Giveaway

Interested in winning the new 'Transformers: Prime' season one on Blu-ray? Comment on your favorite 'Transformers' moment by this Sunday at midnight EST. Winners are picked at random.

To celebrate the release of Transformers: Prime - Season One (Limited Edition), CliqueClack is giving away the  emmy-winning CGI series’ Blu-ray disc pack. Season one continues the old plot of the Autobots versus the Decepticons with a new twist including a temporary alliance when a new enemy, Unicron, arises.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I love Transformers (the original) and any variation not produced by Michael Bay. I find it ironic that my four-year-old nephew has declared himself a devout aficionado of all things Transformers. So, the introduction of Transformers: Prime to the cartoon world in 2010 understandably tickled my funny bone.

The new series, executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci for twenty episodes, received favorable reviews. Although Kurtzman and Orci both penned the first two Transformers films, they’re also better known for their involvement as executive producers, writers and/or developers in Star Trek (2009), Hawaii 5-0 (2010-2012), Alias (2001-2003) and Xena: Warrior Princess (1999-2000).

The series features an impressive vocal cast including the original voices of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Frank Welker as Megatron. Additionally, it adds the known talents of respected sci-fi actors such as Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusers), Adam Baldwin (Chuck, Firefly),  Gina Torres (Suits, Firefly), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (G.I. JOE: Retaliation), John Noble (Fringe), Tony Todd (Final Destination), Clancy Brown (Lost), and Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator).

The season one package includes

  • 4 discs with 26 episodes
  • 15 episodes with commentary tracks
  • A “Making Of” special
  • The 96-page Transformers: Prime prequel graphic novel

Are you interested in winning the Blu-Ray Disc prize pack (which sells for 39.99 on Amazon and 20.99 for the normal DVD pack)?

I caught a rogue episode of the show the other day and I just found it cool that the human girl and Arcee the female transformer were not paired together. It would have been very easy for the writers to have put the two “girls” together and given them the power of pink (too much pink energy is dangerous, right Jaylen?), but the writers didn’t do that. So just for that I am happy.

Ah, Katie! How I love you! LOL But yes, too much pink energy can be dangerous! Just ask Kimberly Hart of season three of MMPR! Tragic. LOL

I haven’t seen any episodes of this new series, but was a huge fan of the original growing up. Would love to win this and see how the new show compares–especially in High Def!

I have not seen the show so I cannot give you my favorite moment, but like my twin (above) I was a big fan of the original series (and toys) growing up. I have been less than impressed by Michael Bay’s loud, blurry and confusing action sequences that equate to really nothing more than watching a multi-car pileup. I have to imagine this show is much more intelligible and intelligent than these atrocities and would love to check it out.

Thanks for this opportunity!

i dig the heck outta bumble bee, just anything he’s in rocks. But when he helped Jax with the street race that was pretty darn cool.

I have not seen the show. I watched the original growing up but would love to watch this with my kids. My favorite part of the old show is the theme song!

I have never seen this particular show, but would love to! For me, my favorite Transformer moment was when I saw the first live-action Transformers film at the movie theater! I was really happy to see the cartoon characters I had watched for so long on television getting this sort of treatment! And rightfully deserved! It was a special moment for me getting to see them all in a live-action blockbuster film for the very first time!

Definitely the Blood of Unicron and the rise of the zombie transformers scene. Other than that, it’s great to hear Cullen, Welker, and Combs on a weekly basis once more. I also love what Steve Blum does with Starscream.

Nice to see a Blu-ray giveaway, and I hope future contests continue the trend.
