For you Burn Notice fans, rejoice. Bruce reminded us that Sam, Fiona and Michael return on June 14 with seasonal guest star John C. McGinley (Scrubs). Bruce unabashedly admitted he likes Sam because he doesn’t shave, drinks beer and chases rich women all day. Did you know he never auditioned for the role (that fit him like a glove)? He joked that doing enough failed TV meant never having to “try” for TV anymore. After awhile, people just hand you roles. Considering Lori Loughlin’s career that’s probably true. Bruce revealed his undiminished pride in Burn Notice as he described each of the characters, their traits and why he loves them. Between Sam, the alcoholic; Michael, the dude with psychological issues; Fiona, the pyromaniac; and Maddie, the chain-smoking, hypochondriac mother, they’re “damaged” goods (and they’re the “good guys”).
Reviewing my 2011 notes, I realized Bruce didn’t repeat anything from last year. It might seem like he runs the panels on automatic pilot, but he gives each of his crowds originality 157%. Hmm, talking about Bruce Campbell makes me want to grab his books for a Sunday beach read. In fact, I think I will.
Bruce’s final words to the crowd were surprisingly serious and heartfelt. To a young director requesting film-making advice, Bruce candidly advised: don’t imitate anyone, just create your own style based on the material. And, isn’t that what Bruce does on a daily basis?

. . . . .
It sounds like a Tony Millionaire (of Sock Monkey), an Eric Powell (of The Goon) or a Shannon Wheeler / Keith Knight (Too Much Coffee Man, The K Chronicles) panel … any of which are hilarious and madcap.
Au Contraire, mon frere. The legendary Bruce Campbell is comparable to no man (or woman)!
… unless they’re dressed like him
. . . . .
*sigh*
No problem.
One Tony Millionaire panel began with Tony coming out in a tuxedo and served mint iced tea to everyone in the room before proceeding with his panel. It ended with an original drawing be committed on a half-dressed man. In between there was CHAOS …
OK … maybe they’re a smidge similar although there was no mint iced tea.
And, if it ended with BC partially dressed, well …. *swoon* …
