Each week, fabulous recipes grace Debbie’s in-box and pop up on her computer screen, and she’s sharing her favorites with you.

If your week last week was anything like mine, you haven’t even begun to think about what green veggie you’ll be bringing to Thanksgiving dinner (my assigned bring-age). In fact, if I’m wearing anything but jeans and my signature double-layered tee look, it will be an ever-loving miracle.

But somehow, priorities be damned, these breads crossed my path. Too bad I’m not bringing the bread….

I’m sure that these cheddar corn muffins with jalepeno butter would go perfectly with my turkey and veggies. The first families and their Native American pals embraced the corn, right?

Heidi Swanson’s orange and oat scones sound like a welcome divergence to some of the quick breads. A heartier, dryer texture would be wonderful with a traditional Thanksgiving meal, don’t you think?

Pumpkin maple biscuits ought to be somebody’s state baked good, or something — do they even do that? I’m off to petition Massachuestts, because really, who needs the fig newton anyway?

Kona and I will tell you, there’s almost nothing better than pumpkin and chocolate chips … cookies, bread, anything! This recipe for chocolate nut pumpkin bread takes it a step further, using cocoa powder in the recipe instead of just chocolate chips. I could definitely get into that, but again, like Kona, hold the nuts in the baked goods.

Does your Thanksgiving table have a spot for squash rolls? Winter squash yeast rolls … I wonder if I could make these in my bread machine?

Do you have a favorite bread recipe to share, one that always gets raves from your Thanksgiving guests?
