“You do not let Vicki Vale into the Batcave — ever.” – Hardison, on attorney Tara Carlisle tagging along with the team
There was something about the way the team worked together tonight that charmed me. Sure, they are always fun to watch and no one would deny that they need each other to successfully pull off the cons. But often in the episodes, one team member comes off stronger than the others, or one stands out as having the coolest moment of the episode.
I think it was deliberate, showing how balanced the team was tonight, given the twist at the end. And boy, am I excited for the January episodes to begin.
Way to take advantage of Gina Bellman’s maternity leave, Leverage. Instead of just sticking us with the team of four, pining away for Sophie to come back, we get a little shake up, which actually promises to be a big shake up.
I like the addition of Jeri Ryan to the cast as Tara, as temporary as it may be. The team was getting a bit set in their ways and falling into an A Team groove, which was a source of complaints this season. Watching the team deal with a spunky new member will be just the thing to breathe a little life into Team Leverage, and remind us that these people really are cutthroat thieves.
Back to the balanced awesomeness of the team this week:
What do you think about Jeri Ryan’s guest stint?
I’m not going to say that it was “too little, too late,” (b/c the show is still badass), but she should have been intro’ed weeks ago.
“Are we gonna go get some meth?”
I didn’t realize that the actress who plays Sophie was pregnant … but that makes a lot of sense why she is out of the picture.
I do not recall seeing any spoilers about GB’s maternity leave. It is not often I get to say this but I pegged her as a replacement as soon as the client walked in and looked to Nate as if waiting for an introduction.
She will bring back some of that doing it for the money that was there in the first part of season 1. As she said she is not a candystriper.
The whole Sophie thing has made no sense to me for weeks. I thought the Leverage creators were messing up the team dynamic simply for dramatic effect. It’s news to me that the actress is pregnant but I’m glad to hear it. Now I finally understand what’s going on!
