TV on DVD – Justified, Dark Skies, and Merlin

This week's releases include 'Justified', 'Merlin', 'Dark Skies', 'Stingray', 'No Reservations', 'Waking The Dead', 'Simon & Simon', 'Dallas', 'My Two Dads', 'Last of the Summer Wine', 'thirtysomething', 'Ernest' and 'Garfield'.

Justified and Merlin are clearly the headliners in this week’s DVD releases. But the real fun comes as we travel back to the 80s and 90s with two classic sets. In pretty much any other week, Stingray would be my pick of the week. It’s a very cool Stephen J Cannell action show from 1985. And also worth noting, it’s a nice deal at $12.99 for the series set. Unfortunately, Ray is trumped by my love for alien conspiracy. The pick of the week is Dark Skies. If, like me, you’re fascinated by the classic alien mythology, Dark Skies makes great use of many of the best bits of it.
