While Adam Braverman is certainly the type of dude who could actually get high on parenthood, much as folks claim to get high on life, this week on Parenthood, it was good, old-fashioned medical marijuana that had Adam feeling good. Cory, his bizarre man-child boss, offered Adam an edible in the form of a tangerine lollipop. As Adam is a square, he didn’t know what an edible was, so he inadvertently got as high as a kite.
Parenthood has one of the tightest ensemble casts on television, and the party scene at Julia’s house does a great job of displaying what excellent chemistry they all have with each other. Plus, Peter Krause‘s performance is absolutely hilarious. I could watch this clip of him in Julia’s kitchen for hours.
But again, it’s the interactions that really shine for me. As much as I love Adam in this scene, Julia’s (Erika Christensen) back-and-forth between flattered and horrified as Adam crashes her ladies-only party is a close second.

I was hysterical during that scene! I kept thinking, “Julia must be secretly happy that he keeps shoveling her food down his throat, because he’s the only one who seems genuinely interested in any of it.”
