TV on DVD – Top Gear, Doctor Who, and The Fugitive

Things are picking up with releases from 'Doctor Who', 'Top Gear', 'Murphy's Law', 'The Fugitive', 'Twilight Zone', 'Johnny Test', 'Spin City', 'Rich Little', animated 'Sabrina', 'C.O.P.S.', and 'Wishbone'.

A nice selection of releases this week is a bit short on current hits, but there are still a few gems to be uncovered. If you missed the big Doctor Who Christmas special at the end of last year, it’s well worth a look. Ditto for Top Gear, for those of you that don’t have BBC America. A complete collection from The Rich Little Show is also interesting. I’m sure that one is chock full of nostalgic fun. My pick of the week though, is going to be Murphy’s Law. I’ve seen the first series, and it’s a fantastic cop show.

The “Top Gear” DVDs are in 4:3 aspect ratio while the show is filmed in 16:9.

I wouldn’t put those on my shelf even if I got money for doing so. And they are only 3 bucks cheaper than the BluRays.

Fellow Buyer, you HAVE to get the BluRays if you consider buying anything TopGear! I understand that you don’t have the money to buy a Koenigseggeggeggegegeggggegegeg but at least buy yourself a BluRay player for crystal clear footage of all those nice supercars on the show.

Plus Michael Schumacher is on the show in one episode. Yay. ;-)
