Being Human – Can you say “cliffhanger?”

I wasn't sure just what to expect after last week's crazy episode. A lot happened this week, all leading to an end I really didn't see coming, even as it was happening!

- Season 1, Episode 12 - "You're the one I Haunt"

I was really pleased with the makeup crew again this week — Sally’s “Grudge” face was definitely effective. It was probably a smart choice to wrap up the Danny storyline this episode instead of next week’s finale, since there seems to be a ton of plot to wrap up next week. Seeing the guys finally reveal themselves to Danny was a shock, more so when Aidan was ready to rip his throat out. I guess I wanted to see just a little more rage from Aidan in that moment. Remember the daydream Sally had earlier in the season? That’s what I was looking for. But hey, the jerk is still going to jail, so we can all be glad Danny is getting what he deserves … I hope.

Is anyone else surprised at who Celine ended up being? When we first saw Aidan’s tattoo, I immediately assumed she was another vampire. But nope, she’s a living/slowly dying human. I got a little bit of a Bella/Edward vibe going with the “bite me already” attitude of Celine, but at least she was willing to draw the line and refuse to go into hiding with him. Plus, I think what Being Human does well is show just how awful the life of a vampire is. You really understand that this bloodlust can easily become torture. The scene where Celine offers her neck to him … the look on his face just shows how much torture he goes through to keep control. Aidan’s refusal makes more sense to me than a certain Volvo-driving vampire. Since Celine has a daughter in Boston, I’m wondering if she and Aidan will meet up next season. Celine even says Aidan looks young enough to be one of her daughter’s boyfriends.

Because of the Celine flashback, my opinion of Bishop has gone down a lot. He was always a pretty vicious antagonist, but he raped Aidan’s girlfriend. Yeah, technically he just “sparkled” her or whatever, but that’s essentially ruffieing her. When it comes to villains, I can take murder and even eating people in the case of vampires, but rape is where I draw the line. Not cool, Bishop! If you die next episode, I might even be OK with that!

Man, Josh needs to tell Nora about his problem. I know there’s no good time to tell your pregnant girlfriend that you’re a monster and she could be carrying a werewolf fetus, but he better tell her sooner rather than later. Sure, the ultrasound didn’t include a snout and paws, but that baby is growing too fast inside of her. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has the baby for the season finale next week. I’m hoping Nora stays around — she grew on me as the season went on, and she’s good for Josh.

I was not expecting Sally’s door to pop up at the end of the episode. There’s a second season, so my first thought was, “Are they really getting rid of Sally?” But then surprise! Crazy, stabby Bishop stabbing Aidan! And then cut to black. Yep, they’re making us wait a whole week to find out what’s going to happen. This is almost as frustrating a cliffhanger as the pilot! Well, I’m going to be watching — are you?

what a cliffhanger this episode would have been if it was the last of the season! they could have gone any way they wanted from there. But no fear next week most of the stories will wrap up but the have open the door for the next season.

Can’t wait to see the second season!!!!

so a couple of questions … why was danny able to see Sally … was it due to heightened emotions on both their parts?

and two … when Bishop tried killing Aidan … what was the bright light that burned him, causing him to not complete his mission?

i think it as because he was never invited into the house. vampires have to be invited in or they can’t enter. thats probably a stupid answer but that would be my guess

Sally is a changed ghost, you’ll see more in the next episode.

Bishop get in the house without having been invited in.

Well guys! I love watching these shows and me being me usually has a good prediction which 9/10 comes right. This time it is that since Aidan has only been drinking hospital blood and not fresh blood he will survive and not turn to dust. This is no way one of the main character dies this close to the beginning. Who Agrees?

I also wondered if Bishop didn’t stab him right in the heart. Maybe he’ll survive because the stake got him in the gut.

I LOVE this show and I can not emphasize how much I LOVE it! I also love the BBC version as well, but I adore the syfy version. I believe there is more to Nora than meets the eye. I cant put my finger on it but I just know something is up with her. Yes, that baby is growing too fast, how is it possible that the fetus is 7 weeks farther along than it should be???? And I, too, Love Nora with Josh, she is good for him. I can not wait until Monday, I just hope they dont leave us hanging too much.
