Some of the acts that didn’t do well were:
- 32-year-old Sam B., who shouldn’t have been sent to Vegas in my book, did some more crazy and silly dancing. His routine is hectic and does not smell talent. His moves are okay for the dance floor in a bar but not in such a competition. This is not talent, and I — contrary to the judges — am not entertained by Sam B’s performances at all! Actually, I think it’s one of the worst acts of the season. See for yourself in the clip below at the 3:07 mark.
- Body-builder Tricky Jackson failed to impress as, besides added some dance moves in the beginning of his act, he offered nothing that was really entertaining. He just showed his muscles. That’s it. Not talent.
- “Meet Me At Fairfax and 3rd” is another act that should have never been sent to Vegas. Can you imagine that they only spent three hours rehearsing their Vegas performance?! You have the chance to make it to the Top 48 in one of the biggest talent search ever and you only rehearse for three hours?! Well, not surprisingly, their act this week sucked as did their audition. The piano playing was not bad but the singing was terrible and the “acrobatic” bit with the added peel of the banana and throwing of the shoes was just plain boring and a joke! I can’t believe that Howie says it’s randomly wonderful! You can see their oh so bad performance in the second clip below, starting at the 3:40 mark.
- Once a sensation in Costa Rica, Mauricio Herrera hopes to make it big in the US. His Ricky Martin impression at his first audition was bad but, when compared to what he did tonight, it was great. This week, he tried to sing “Strangers in the Night” and “Staying Alive.” Yes, it was funny, but the imitations were not good.
Some of the acts that did so-so were:
- The bald magician (sorry I didn’t catch his name) performed a trick that sadly didn’t go as planned as one of his assistants made a mistake. That hiccup aside, there were some nifty changes of places and appearances/disappearances. Don’t know about you but something was off with the overall performance. For example, some of the facial expressions and movements the magician made seemed forced and not natural enough. It was not flowing.
- SH’Boss Boys rocked the house again with their cute looks and their fun “wapping” as they said in their first audition. However, they didn’t seem at ease with the choreography as they were not always in tuned and one kid looked offstage quite often, probably trying to get cues from his parents.
- 6-year-old Lil’ T performed an energetic dance routine. But due to his young age and lack of real dancing experience, he doesn’t measure up to other dance acts (but he is lightyears better than Sam B!).
- Leonid made a big mistake this time around: he went back to dancing. What allowed him to get to Vegas this season was his impressive magic act. He should have sticked to that instead of doing a dance number this time around. His magic was more entertaining than his dancing. Witness his performance in the clip below.
Some of the acts that were impressive were:
- Landon Swank impressed us with a levitation type of trick. It was already incredible to see the box fly up in the air but he didn’t stop there: a lovely assistant appeared from inside the box!
- Avery and the Calico Hearts rocked the house once again with a fun singing performance. Avery has the voice, the attitude, and the smile to be the next Miley Cirus and get a own TV show.
- The “Café flambé” act and the Russian bar performance were jaw-dropping performances, especially with the added fire element to each act.
Some of the Vegas Week – Day 2 acts that were sent home: Lil’ T, the two young ballroom dancers, Meet Me At Fairfax and 3rd, and Leonid the Magnificent.
Some of the Vegas Week – Day 2 acts going through to the next round: The Smage Bros. Riding Shows, Avery and the Calico Hearts, 11-year-old singer Anna Graceman, Landon Swank, yo-yo master Ian Johnson, singer Dylan Andre, singer Daniel, Mauricio, and … I can’t believe it because it’s one of the worst act this season in my opinion: Sam B!!!

Sam B is entertaining. Sure he’s not talented but you should look at it from an entertainment perspective. People love him as seen by the audience at his audition and browsing the comments section on his youtube videos. Good decision by the judges to put him through and let the audience decide. He also adds some fun to AGT, really, everyone needs to loosen up once in a while.
I really agree with america and the judges for passing Sam B. to the finals, he really is very entertaining and simply following his dream. I really do hope he makes it and wins he has a certain carisma to entertain. Its good to see that people aren’t so worried about looks and willing to give him a chance despite what other people may have to say abu his weight.
