Latest episode clacks for this show:
ABC and FOX had big premieres for ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and ‘Touch’ last week, but both were overshadowed by the crazy numbers AMC brought in with the season finale of ‘The Walking Dead’.
I’ve defended ‘Awake’ and its use of procedural-like, dramatic cop elements to surround a supernatural story, but I’m already getting sick of it too.
There was good news for ‘Community’ fans last week, as the show hit season highs in the ratings. And there was bad news for ‘Luck’ fans, as the previously renewed second season was abruptly canceled. HBO giveth, and HBO taketh away.
Though there may not be a supernatural element to the story of ‘Awake’, the show certainly leaves something to speculate about.
Premieres for ‘GCB’ and ‘Breaking In’ came in at somewhat less than ABC and FOX might have been hoping for, falling well short of a repeat ‘Big Bang’ on CBS. Over on cable, the premiere of “Breakout Kings’ did nothing to slow down the ‘Walking Dead’ juggernaut.
For those hoping there was something more to the ‘Awake’ story than just a man living in two different worlds, things picked up quite quickly in only the second episode.
Our regularly scheduled programming was interrupted this week by the ‘Academy Awards’, the surprise prime-time appearance of the ‘Daytona 500′, and a triple shot of ‘Idol’. That brought a few unexpected drops to the numbers. On cable, ‘The Walking Dead’ continues to rule.
